Update for the ROTH NC EMU
About 10 years ago, ROTH developed its first NC emulator, which has been used successfully by our customers ever since. Now, the ROTH NC EMU has been updated.
What is the NC EMU?
EMU is the abbreviation for software emulator. It is a program that simulates a computer or an operating system, thereby making it possible to use or develop software designed for that computer on another computer with a different architecture.
What’s in it for you?
Anyone familiar with NC systems and the convenience of programming knows how to appreciate them. To enable users to apply their familiar workflow even in PLC-controlled systems with positioning drives, the ROTH Group developed the NC EMU 10 years ago. This allows for the execution of simple positioning tasks involving multiple, non-interpolating axes. In addition, familiar auxiliary functions (M, G, H), R parameters, and control functions such as looping can be used.
What do you have to do?
Write the corresponding program conveniently on your PC using the NC EMU Editor and load it into the controller. You can easily activate the programs stored in the controller via the NC EMU interface. A ready-to-use NC EMU PLC Library is available for your PLC!
What are the benefits of the update?
The new version of NC EMU is now compatible with Windows 10 and can be used with both S7 Classic and TIA.
