For the transition to the latest generation of Siemens SINUMERIK ONE CNC controls
It has been successfully used in the market since 2004: the SINUMERIK 840D sl CNC control from SIEMENS. After two decades, it was discontinued from the SIEMENS portfolio in 2024 and has since been available only as a replacement part. However, this did not happen without first introducing an optimized successor to the market. With the SINUMERIK ONE complete CNC system, a new product was developed that was intended to surpass the previous control system in terms of performance and functionality.
What can machine users expect when switching to the new complete CNC system?
Care has been taken to ensure full compatibility in terms of programming, operation, and drives, so that the transition can be as easy as possible for machine users. The transition is unavoidable, but it is also quite manageable. However, there are a few points to keep in mind to ensure that it goes smoothly.
What are the benefits of training at ROTH?

To further train your staff, we offer a 4-day training course that provides fundamental knowledge on how to use the new SINUMERIK ONE CNC control in conjunction with the SINAMICS S120 drive system and its commissioning. Building on their prior experience with the 840D sl, participants will gain knowledge and skills in the areas of hardware, data backup, and commissioning of the SINUMERIK ONE, with a focus on the similarities, differences, and unique features compared to the familiar SINUMERIK 840D sl.
Since the training is aimed at both those switching from another system and beginners, basic knowledge of the previous model, the SINUMERIK 840D sl, is helpful but not required.
The duration and content of our training courses can be flexibly tailored to your needs and prior knowledge. As a result, participants are well prepared for upcoming projects once the training is complete.
